I saw Feist open at a show in November 2005. She was enthralling on stage and her music was absolutely incredible and, though Let it Die was released the year before, no one had heard of her, even in indie-obsessed Athens. I couldn’t get over how perfectly eclectic, yet authentic her songs were and she completely embodied that vibe. I left that night without a disc in hand but the music completely engrained. I patiently waited scoured the internet for many months before her music became readily available and it wasn’t long, Reminder, 2007, until she was everywhere.

Leslie Feist is an incredibly talented performer and thoughtful artist. Her much anticipated album, Metals, dropped today and with it comes more of that perfectly beautiful, wise, yet energetic vibe you’ve come to expect from Feist.
